A Love Story Close to Home: Jason & Amanda at Port 393

The Wedding That Started It All: Nate & Trisha at Port 393

On June 12, 2020, Nate and Trisha made history—not just by beginning their life together as husband and wife, but by becoming the very first couple to get married at Port 393. Their wedding didn’t just mark the start of their forever; it marked the beginning of something special for the venue itself.

What makes their story even more meaningful is how it all began.

When Trisha first heard about Port 393, it wasn’t the polished venue it is today—it was just a pile of dirt and a dream waiting to take shape. At the time, it might have been hard for most to picture anything more. But then, in a meeting at deBoer Bakkerij, Trisha met Candice (owner of Port 393) where she shared her vision for the space, and Trisha was intrigued enough to schedule a tour.

The rest, as they say, is history.

As soon as Trisha stepped inside the newly built Port 393, she fell in love—not just with the clean, modern aesthetic and stunning rooftop terrace, but also with Candice herself. It was a connection built on shared excitement, big dreams, and a whole lot of heart. Trisha and Nate signed on before the paint was even dry, full of trust in what the space could become.

Their wedding was intimate, heartfelt, and full of the kind of warmth that only comes when you’re part of something bigger. Despite the uncertainties of 2020, Nate and Trisha embraced the moment with joy and gratitude. Their love brought life into the walls of a brand-new venue and gave Port 393 its very first wedding-day memories.

Now, five years later, their story continues to inspire us.

Today, Nate and Trisha are proud parents to two beautiful daughters who are as joyful and full of life as their wedding day was. Their love has grown—steadily, deeply, and with intention—rooted in the same trust and connection that brought them to Port 393 in the first place. They’ve built a life marked by laughter, adventure, and the kind of steady partnership that reminds us why we do what we do.

Every time a new couple tours the space, we think back to those early days. Back to a dirt lot and a dream. Back to two people who saw what it could be—and believed in it. Back to the rooftop where Nate and Trisha said their vows, setting the tone for every celebration that’s followed.

We often say that Port 393 was built for couples who dream big—and no one dreamed bigger than Trisha and Nate. They were the spark that lit the fire, and every celebration since carries a piece of their story.

Cheers to the couple who started it all. Nate and Trisha—our first, and forever part of the Port 393 legacy.
