Port393 venue for Halloween

Halloween Champagne Club

We love embracing the eerie and celebrating the spooky around Halloween at Port 393. From haunted houses to costume parties, this holiday offers endless opportunities for fun and fright! But we believe we know the BEST way to celebrate Halloween! Port 393’s Halloween Champagne Club is the perfect setting to dress up, have dinner and drinks! From spooky decorations and costumes, to sharing Champagnes and dancing to the live band let us make your Halloween amazing!

This Champagne Club called for all hands on deck as we had a lot of decor to place for this event. The Port 393 Team showed up for set-up and had a lot of fun transforming this space. The typical bright and elegant space took the form of a dark and twisted eerie one bringing a whole different vibe! We loved adding the Halloween twist to our traditional Champagne Club.

One of the most exciting parts of this Champagne Club was seeing everyone dressed up in their costumes. People went all out when it came to dressing up. We had: butterflies, Powerpuff girls, a burglar, Mary Poppins, Cruella deVill, skeletons, pirates, and so much more! During the tasting, we held a costume contest for people to be able to vote for four different categories: the cutest costume, the scariest costume, the best group costume, and the most creative costume.

Of course, no Champagne Club would be complete without a selection of exceptional bubbles. At this Champagne Club, our Sommelier Wendi chose three amazing Champagnes for this event: Domaine Landron, Atmospheres, Loire, France, Gvantsa’s Wine, Pét-Nat, Georgia, and Divella Gussago, Blanc de Blanc, Franciacorta, Italy.

“In October we find ourselves celebrating the unusual and unique so I wanted to expand our palettes to do the same with Champagne! From a pet-nat, slightly sparkling spritzer from the birthplace of wine, the country of Georgia, to an elegant Franciacorta from Italy. Finishing off with the eccentric bottle from Andre Clouet, beautiful and smooth on the inside, elaborate and over-the-top on the outside.”

After the tasting was complete, guests headed upstairs to enjoy dinner provided by NOCO Provisions of Grand Rapids (https://nocogr.com/). The festive October and Halloween menu included: Chopped Autumn Salad, Spooky Spaghetti and Eyeballs (Meatballs), Deviled Eggs, Veggies Crudite, and Homemade Pumpkin Cheesecake. During this time, our guests were able to enjoy the music performed by the Carl Webb Band (http://www.carlwebbband.com/).

We are overjoyed with how this Champagne Club turned out! We owe it all to those who
continue to come time and time again!
